Easily recognized by its white board exterior sitting happily upon a teal foundation, The Longboard came about when owners Tyler Beckstead and Clint Gaskins mutually decided that St. John was a place made to inspire a new wave of oceanside dining. Once they put their combined culinary experience together, The Longboard became a reality and opened its doors at Cruz Bay directly below Café Roma.

Fresh Island Fare

This one-of-a-kind coastal cantina is a perfect stop for those looking to indulge in a variety of island-inspired dishes that are crafted using the freshest local produce and ingredients. While the dishes are an elegant combination of flavors and spices, the ambiance here is strictly casual. Sticking closely to the island-life mentality, guests are encouraged to mix and mingle as they enjoy food, beverages and a view. In fact, many of the dishes are best enjoyed with the company of friends and family. Starter plates and small snacks tease the taste buds before main dishes including gourmet tacos, ceviche and Baja bowls make their way to the table. Fresh-caught seafood is always on the menu, but it’s the cocktails that give this establishment it’s well-loved reputation. Known by locals as “Frozen Pain Killers,” it’s imperative that guests try one of The Longboard’s infamous hand-crafted cocktails while they’re here.
