An Inspiring Caribbean Competition
In 2019, the annual Beach to Beach Power Swim will be held May 26th and is open to the first 350 participants that register online. Proceeds benefit The Friends of Virgin Islands National Park, but the memories are all for the taking. Adults 18 and over can register for $50 prior to May 5th and for $65 between May 6th and May 24th. Participants 17 years of age and under can register for $30.
Race Logistics
This highly-popular competition is divided into three parts which consist of a short, intermediate and long-course. The short course is a 1-mile route between Maho Bay and Cinnamon Bay,while the intermediate course is routed to an extended 2.25-miles to Trunk Bay. The long course is a 3.5-mile route that takes participants through deep blue waters to Hawksnest. Those who register for the long course are welcome to do so as an individual participant or as a team of three individuals. Similarly, those who are interested in participating with snorkels and fins are more than welcome to sign up for the specialized category option.
Considered one of the most beautiful swim routes in the world, those who find their place on the lineup of the Beach to Beach Power Swim are sure to experience fun, excitement and spectacular sights within the good spirit of competition. Practice swims are scheduled prior to race day for all three categories and swimmers are asked to kindly attend a pre-race briefing which will be held May 25th at Trunk Bay Pavilion. Registration begins at 3:00 pm with a 45-minute meeting on race details to follow.
